Royal Stetson Playboy - Steel Blue Grey

4 3/4 Crown as shaped

3/4 Silver/Grey grosgrain mid-ribbon

2 1/4 raw edge brim with single row of stitching

This Royal Stetson Playboy in a beautiful Steel Blue Grey felt that is super soft and malleable. One of those hats that is just a real pleasure to wear. Reminds me a bit of my Strat with the shortened brim.. however the 2 1/4 raw brim on this one has a nice bit of Jaunty personality. And the 3/4 silver grey mid ribbon is a nice change of pace.

This is The third and final installment from the Jared care package. I would say I saved the best for last.. but all three of these hats are fantastic in their own right.... especially the Blue Dobbs which was getting some head time today and managed to get caught in a downpour... Much to my chagrin... of course It shrugged it off with ease.

Thank you again @jlee562 I am loving these hats... and really enjoyed profiling them the last few days... and I know I will continue to enjoy wearing them.

Great derby! Went raspberry picking today as well! At a small farm in Scituate Rhode Island.

We transplanted starts from my in-laws when we first bought our house several years ago, and they've really taken off. Usually my son eats the berries as fast as we can pick them, but the output has greatly increased the past couple days. I figure with what we get tomorrow there will probably be enough to make a pie.

A dog soiree in a Stetson Whippet this cool and damp morning. The blue-gray felt has a unique color in the diffuse overcast early morning sunlight. The entire neighborhood has a too-saturated color look to it. I am going out with a cup of coffee shortly to appreciate the effect.

Don’t see how you haven’t bled out years ago, Eric. ALL your lids are razor sharp!! Especially the ones you’ve posted lately! Loved that Lee All American.

Lovely hat, Joe. It seems the hats keep flooding in from all sides.

After a run I changed and went out for a cool down walk thru the neighborhoods. A Stetson Bantam was my fedora this morning.

Hope you had a good little holiday, Stefan. You're certainly back in style.
I love the colour of the NZ Battersby and Wormsers have always appealed to me. Sadly, my collection lacks one.
Thanks, Steve. Still need to take pics of that Battersby. It is a very special colour. Wormsers are very hard to come by. This one was actually a size small for me and the other I have was a trade. Elusive species!

Great set of hats. Love the Wormser and that Tasman Blue is a fantastic color.

What a difference a couple of days make. From 90 degrees to 55 degrees with added driving rain. Filson Tin Cloth Packer for today's bike ride.

Usually it's my best hat for keeping fine rain off of my glasses. Wasn't up to the task in today's rain. Did keep my head dry and toasty in any case.

A resurrected worn out Stetson panopore straw that used to sport a cattleman’s crease.
A year ago I posted a pic of a very well used and sweated up straw that I’ve worn to work for several summers and was in sad shape. I finally bought a new Stetson straw that is on its way to looking just as bad.
Wish I had before and after pics as y’all might more appreciate how it it looks tonight.
I removed the sweatband and old two cord ribbon, wet it and mashed it on my new hat block and flanger, let it dry, removed it and soaked it with hat stiffener. Then steam shaped the new crease and pinch and threw on an old pug.
It still shows the patina of years of hard labor, but looks much better and ready for more!
