Lovely wives, hats, and a good meals...... heavenly Max, just heavenly! You're living' the dream.
Thanks, Ken! It was great coming to Querétaro for the weekend. I finally got my hands on an Allie Maillard complete set conformateur, with the formillon and everything!
The spring is still elastic, like new!

I need (want) to get me a derby / bowler. That one looks amazing! I'd like a brown one in what is described as a "Western Bowler". ;) This is one Nathaniel's Hatters does here in my area. serious hat envy! lol

I have a brown Beyer-Rolnick, soft felt.
My neighbor keeps hounding me to sell it to him.
He thinks he's Sonny Boy Williamson III.

Awesome!

How does it compare to Ignacio’s?
It has a small broken piece that I will ask my daughter Alisa to mend (next-to-last pic). Other than that it is better, I think, because the metal spring that goes around the base is still very strong. I have to take it to him, because although I have seen him use it, I need a refresher course.

Today.....this ones kinda like yesterday’s Stagecoach except:
1. It’s not modern
2. It’s old as dirt
3. It’s my best Col. Eli McCullough from “The Son”series hat. (Good series by the way)
Kind of a Hommy for your Mommy on steroids. No martinis were harmed during this post.
Oh yeah, Lion Hat. Worst sweatband ever, very nice hat body.
Be well. Bowen
You just never know. I have a Lion with very acceptable leather.
I wish your hat was wrapped around it!

Thank you Jonathan. You are blessed!

Thanks, B. I'm quite fortunate to have a good wife (who supports this hat hobby) and two wonderful kids. Trying at times, but the snuggles alone make it worth it.

Super looking Milan and great pug. Enjoy those snuggles.
Thanks, Steve. I'll definitely take them while I can. Hard to believe she'll be 6-months already tomorrow.

View attachment 183738 Hiked into Yellowstone Park today with my new Stylemaster. Brought my 3-weight fly rod. 4 miles in, 2 hour break for fishing and a sandwich, then 4 miles back out. Saw a solitary all-black wolf about a half mile away.
Catch anything? It's bad luck to have food with you while fishing, you know?
