Definitely 40s, I'd wager my hat on it [emoji4]. Early 40s at that, possibly very late 30s even. The "rose tint" binding is clear to see and just adds to the lustre of the piece. It is such a cool, classic Homburg. Congrats again.
Thanks Mike!
I think that it's from the 40's. I don't know how much it shows in pics for people who see better than I do, but the brim binding has a dusky rose tint that really looks cool when you see it in person.

Great colour, shape, pinch, and ribbon size. Looks good on you Moehawk. Coincidentally, I'm about to buy one that looks quite a bit like yours from Daniele. I'd really like to know why Homburgs without a brim binding are called Lords' hats?
Hey all!
Decisions, decisions... Haven't worn this Penn-Craft Lords' Hat in a while. Today is it's day to shine.

Thanks Steve!
I would have to guess that the style was popularized at some point by an influential Lord somewhere in history and the name stuck. But, just a guess.

Excellent hats everyone the last couple of days. Sorry for not commenting on them individually, but just haven't had the time. These two were the firm favourites this week.

That Tress has a gorgeous finish, Stefan. Both great hats and great looks.

Lucky day! Apparently, a pre ‘47 Disney ‘Robin Hood’.

Not much time to Lounge around. Damned work and other life junk... Oh well...

Having a happy Friday under a C&K homburg that was sold out of the Finchley Establishment in Chicago.

Merry weekend, all.

With you back in the groove we're going to see more homburgs again. There should be a Nobel prize for that too. This one would get you nominated at least, Matt.
