I thought Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory made up that date. Now I see it's a real date. Not to mention Talk Like a Pirate Day on the 19th.

I love the summer, I love high temps. Luckily though, the end of summer and the beginning of autumn means felt time. The temperature dropped below 20°C today, so it was a good opportunity to wear this ca. 1950s Peschel Chevret. Haven't worn it for a while, and it's one that deserves head time.
Have a good week, fellow FL'ers.

Relaxing on the porch now with a Vintage Peter Brothers fedora, very minty, 2" brim and wonderful soft moldable felt. Other than the PB branding the sweatband is blank. Dont know what model this is....anyone know vintage PB? Has a plastic cover in the liner so late 50's or 60's. Felt is perfect.
Nice look, Alan. Where are you headed?Putting some bespoke stuff together for a trip across the pond. View attachment 183134
Thank you, Randie.Very smart, top to bottom, Steve.
That is a nice present to come home to regardless of model! I'm getting more comfortable with shorter brims myself.
Super looking hat, Ken. The shorter brim looks just as good on you as your wider brims.View attachment 183135 View attachment 183136 View attachment 183137 View attachment 183138 View attachment 183139 Hmmm. BTW... The t-shirt is from the movie "The Princess Bride" from 1987. It's a MUST SEE.
Love that young Sheldon kid better....hilarious.I thought Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory made up that date. Now I see it's a real date.
The 19th of September is going down in my dairy. I have a special hat for that day. Stay tuned [emoji6]
