I'm enjoying the second to last evening here in a forrest close to the sea in Denmark by going on an evening constitutional in this years favourite Panama. Apologies for the t-shirt, but I am on my holidays [emoji4].

I hit the dumpster diving thift store and found this on a young woman's head. I tried to pay her a finder's fee, but she declined.

Back to boating today with this open weave Stetson, late 1930s to 1940. The crown is firm, the brim is flexible with a gentle upswing to the flange. The sweatband stitching is hidden which is a lovely finishing touch.

I’d say this is the perfect boater, but I know you’ll wear one tomorrow that will be even better. Thanks for sharing, Alan!

Getting ready to head off to the synagogue for Shabbos (Sabbath) services. Decided to don one of my wider brimmed black hats — an Alfonsino from Italy. (Not an especially high quality hat, but it’s been nicely broken in over the years.)
