It's that time of the year and, mercifully, the concept of trick or treat, never caught on this side of the pond.
Today's hat was a rather special gift courtesy of my wife, Tina. Bespoke made by Gamble & Gunn, it sits rather well with a blue blazer that I have.
Many of you have, when hearing about Tina's recent heart surgery, sent well wishes. I do hope I didn't miss anyone when I said thank you. The lady continues to improve, and she loves reading the posts on The Lounge.
Today's shirt will upstage any hat that I wear, a shirt that my mischievous Mrs, made for me to wear, with wizards hat, to accompany her when she made herself an outfit worthy of the late Gil Elvgren. Tina's witch wasn't quite as bold as Gil Elvgren's, but my shirt wasn't enough to detract attention, even with the wizard's hat.

She has again outdone herself, Robert.

I have always admired the Coroner’s hat in The Wizard Of Oz, but have yet to find one that fits. My feeble attempt comes in the form of this undated “Old England Hatters” lid…

And to think I missed the auction!!
Well, at 2nd thought, it’s Munchkin-sized, anyway.

That really is a great hat, okay the brim doesn't curl but it is so distinguished looking. Not so the tee shirt, but it is Halloween.

"She has again outdone herself, Robert."

That Halloween event was something else. Tina told me to tell you about the right royal slap that I got.
Her costume was sexy, yet modest. She wore lace covered panties that were more robust than a swimsuit, and nothing was definitely, on show. But when I spun her on the dance floor, ahem, you might have seen her stockings. It was when I said that I thought witches didn't wear panties that got me the look.

I should have known better than to continue. "Why do you say that?" The lady asked. "Because they get a better grip on the broomstick," I replied. That's when the slap came, oh dear!

Awesome hat, terrific shirt. So glad to hear that Tina is improving daily!
Thank you again Mark, it is slow going and she does tire quickly, but she does rest and asks to send you her thanks. Appreciated.

I know Cookeville… my in-laws had a place up in Spencer. We would go down the mountain to Cookeville if we wanted to go into town for dinner, which had more dining options than the first town over Sparta (and liquor on premises) We loved that whole area!
Weve had family there in Putnam county since the late 1820s. The first relative that settled there was named Carr... he stopped there just off the boat from Ireland and stopped there because there were other Carrs already there. (Un related to us) Family lore goes that he figured that if the locals hadnt run off the other Irish, that it must be a safe place to live lol
