Ludovikus Hagens Wwe / St. Veit (Sankt Veit), Wool, possibly early 1930s. Never was able to figure out the source of this Wool Stiff Felt. The paper label has a Sheep with a St. Veit Banner. Sankt Veit an der Glan Schafrasse is a small town in the South East corner of Austria and I couldn't find any Felt Hat production in the town. My guess is this is the source of the Wool used for the Felt. The Stiff Felt Hat was sold by a shop (Ludovikus Hagens Wwe) in a small town (Lustenau, Voralberg) in the upper North West corner of Austria. I found this Wool Stiff Felt back in 2021.

Ludovikus Hagens Wwe (Lustenau, Voralberg, Elisabethstraße 7) was located in the front of this house. Photo from 1908.

Regardless the lack of known maker, that is one super find, Steve.

I remember that movie! Definitely accurate!

Yes, it's a fun one. I already have the standard red & gold, which is what they would have been in "real life" (patterned after the colourised movie posters of the time) this is a cute addition. Once marking season is done, I need to track down the London Tent of the Sons of the Desert. :)
