It looks like Dalton only used the name "Mistery Felt" in 1937. After that I find a couple other companies using it, including Boyd's in 1948, possibly it was made for them by DaltonA fedora labeled "Mystery Felt" does cause me to pause.
I was wearing a Dalton fedora for a morning dog soirée.
