Oh, it is HOT HOT HOT in the city today.

I am wearing a vintage floral yellow and green belted dress from the 50's white bag, white wedgies and three big white gardenias in my hair. I'm also wearing tiny ivory and gold vintage rose earrings.

Cold and foggy this morning as I left for the train station. Forty miles away where I work it is bright sun. Today, I am wearing my "John Bull" in pecan by the Clearwater Hat Company. It has seen a few years, (Art has reblocked it once), but it is as comfortable to wear as a favourite old tweed jacket.

Haversack.

An Indy-style fedora, apparently to the same spec. and by the same maker as that offered by Herbert Johnson. A rather higher crown than I normally favour, but I felt like trying it out today, along with a grey d/b suit and brown suede shoes.

Borsalino straw.

I'm wearing a brown suit today. So I brought out my Borsalino tan with a tan and brown band. It's 100% paglia (Italian for straw?) and it also says Genuine Baku? I have no idea what that means. Anybody know? Thanks.

Cut and pasted from Biltmore Hats Inc.:

"Baku (China) > Very fine natural straw fiber from rice stalks; expensive handwoven straw for use in millinery and dress hats. "

Beautiful hat, Marty. Love the ribbon!

Today I have worn my Miller Brothers Logan with the replaced ribbon, It is now my 'farm' hat. Miller makes a great hat but really does not have that .....extra something that a PanamaBob hat has.

I got this new hat yesterday and am wearing it to work today for the first time. It's the "Chicago" from Miller in silverbelly color.

Orgetorix, that is a nice block on that Panama. Do you mind sharing what it was called. I do like it. :)

Thanks. I'm actually not sure what the block style is called. I just asked Robert to get me an entry-level Montecristi, and this is what showed up. It looks most like the Cuencano block shown on his website.
