A very nice looking hat David. It has an interesting lineage, makes it a great conversation piece.

View attachment 134713 Stetson, no name, from the outlet in St Jo. I believe it may have been a Premier that didn’t make the grade. Now a work hat, with big ears today.
I just love your images! A worthy work hat for sure.

Nice cool morning for a short mushroom club foray. Nutria Quality returns to the woods.

Have fun, it's Saturday,

I kind of like this one with an open crown, it really highlights the quality of the felt. Any plans to return it to Campaign status?

Last night I was out in the cooler temps in a modern Gannon (silverbelly and charcoal trimmings). When the wind picked up I changed to a cap.

This morning I have been enjoying the cool weather in a Cordova Cap.

Best, Eric -
Yummy Silver Belly Eric. I sure have been liking your cap parade of late. I need to order a nice one like these. I only have a modern Stetson cap. Don't wear that one enough. Stellar!

That Clearwater has such great old timey lines. I really dig it with that colorful hat band Jeff.

Once in a while I get into a stingy brim kind of mood. Very 1960’s Jack Lemmon/blues brothers/mod kind of mood. Only thing is, between my porkpie and this Robert Hall, they are my only stingy brims. [emoji22]

I may have to put myself in the market to beef up my collection

What no Sinatra?

Is anyone else experiencing the loading of this particular thread to take some time?

Second question, following my covet of Red's straw, the one with the blue hat ribbon, I found this site. They have straws ranging from fifty pounds to about four hundred. They also have some very expensive ones. The link will take you to one that costs £1660. What justifies that kind of price? If you visit the site just click on "Mens" to see the collection including many affordable offerings.

It's been a busy week, very busy. Something in the pipeline with the car. The Stetson Sovereign always tops this suit off perfectly.

Always love the pics with the MG. I'll have to check this site out. There are so many, I wonder who is best to deal with?

Totally agree that the silvery shine is difficult to photograph. Such a soft- -sorta almost velour— feel to it. The brim is coming in at exactly 2 1/2 inches by my measuring tape.

Hey guy:
Yeah, the feel of the MGL felt is probably my most favorite. I likened the seude/velour-like feel to a cross between a chinchilla and a horse’s nose.
The “Silver” Max now has is a twin to this one. I always thought they resembled a fuzzy Playboy.
A great hat!!

new arrival, and currently being worn. Taking it up to Virginia City, so I may have to take more photos of it in use. If you haven't heard of Virginia City, I recommend a quick Google search!
