That hat was originally brown. Now is a faded brown. It's my adventure hat and it had a lot of adventures holding against the elements during my trekking activities.

I also wonder if there was advertising showing these hats? I have not looked. Probably a full page in Playboy, June 1971! I think I had one of these hidden under my bed back in the day...

I cleaned one up and reworked it a little last week for a buddy of mine. He picked it up in a thrift store around here for a buck. My size too. He almost didn't get it back.

Off for some errands in my Mayser Milz stingy. Interesting hat, great construction and felt, an early 70s example.
