Heading out the door on this chilly (26 degrees, cold for us) morning in an old friend. One of my early addiction hats, a Dobbs Twenty, which I paid $20 for on Ebay. Great felt, substantial, and moldable. On the way to stingy with a brim just a smidge over 2". I forgot how much I love this one.

Thank you very much, you have been generous in your appreciations on Lobbia Borsalino.
I simply want to tell you that I often do not respond individually to your quoted.
I'm not condescending, only the language to use makes me waste precious time, but I'm grateful to everyone
Today a hat worn for two distinct parts of the same day
21m9cax.jpg

Charles Hatter's High Quality in "Coffee" color
The measures of this are: brims to 6.5 cm. and crown at 11.5 cm. with ribbon matching the color felt
2u7r2mt.jpg

The paper labels inside the sweatband testify that it is a Vanzina product or even Borsalino branded with a "fake" English brand
29lh920.jpg

It has the same series of numbers and letters as the Borsalino of the same period, this was built in 1980 and has the lining sewn
zv8pvn.jpg

The construction is excellent in the wake of the Borsalino standards, only the felt is hardened more than the corresponding hats produced by Vanzina or Borsalino
307nubk.jpg

Now I have a good number of Charles Hatter's that I found in large numbers in the stock of the closed shop "M. Hutter" in Merano, although I already had a couple in my collection. You can find them at www.relodn.com ask if they are not on display

Very interesting hat Daniele. The color is such a rich brown. Impressive look.

I'm sliding back in time with Matt this morning. Howard derby, also likely from the first decade or two of the Twentieth century

A little worse for the wear, but if I made it into my second century in the same condition I would count myself very lucky indeed.

Michael, you look like you could have stepped out of Shorpy's. Derby's great, love the glasses.

Just got home from a very enjoyable trip to visit Mike at NW Hats. Decided to wear my Echter Borsalino Homburg that came my way via my Dutch connection. :)
I'll be posting some new creations I got to try on in the NW Hats thread. I dropped off a sweet Knox Westlite for Stefan for Mike to spruce up. Needed to replace a rather ham-handed ribbon that the Etsy seller tried to pass off. Didn't come home with any hats, but next trip down hopefully. More later...

Great buy on that hat Red. Looks very good on you.

Thanks Perry. I see you have another great hat and sweater combo going today. You have an enviable collection of both of the aforementioned.

Thanks 65. I'm just hoping it all keeps me warm today.

Thanks all,
