Nice! What are the details?

It's a custom hat made by @EstherWeis . 4'' crown, 2'' brim. TONAK rabbit felt with a " glathaar" finish, as she explained. With a pleated ribbon.
Wanted something which could be both dressy and casual. Something between the trilby and the regular fedora and which could be worn most of the year. She nailed it.

I Googoo'd "famous beards of the 1930s and 1940s," and came up almost empty.

But, DON'T shave it!!

Yes, there weren't many beards then. These guys,

I guess.

Fortunately, they were back in by the 70's and it's much easier to find clothes from then too. Ha ha. I'm far too lazy to shave it, though I would like to remember to trim it a bit more often.
