That would be interesting acoustics as the hum from a carbon bike and the pawls from carbon wheels can be really loud and unique sounding.

Just back from a big mall in Guayaquil. Groceries for a week: Gatorade, water, and plantain chips. Lol.

Small kiosk had bunches of straw hats from $50 to $800. I tried on a $200 Montecristi that was lighter than a feather. Very fine straw, but with a touch looser brisa weave. If we weren't headed to Cuenca soon, I would have bought that hat.

The $800 hat was woven so tight you couldn't see light through it. They have a showroom in town I'm dying to visit and look for semi-colados.

I didn't have my phone with me so no pics yet. I won't forget again.

Dammmmmm but that brisa MC was fine!

What awesome photos and hats! Thank you so much for sharing that! Your photos really make me miss Philly. I was in town (technically Wayne) for a little over a month for work a few years back and fell in love. One of my guilty pleasures while there was Minella's Diner on the mainline. I ate there almost everyday for at least one meal For whatever reason I really liked that place and the time zone change was killing me so I often found myself there at 2 or 3 am lol.

I know that Diner well. Small world.

Never played one but I've heard the tone is rich and the sustain can't be matched by Rosewood. It's still a polyester guitar to me.

I've played one ... a Rainsong that had like a $2700.00 price tag
Very light and bright toned but feels like a piece of plastic and I hated every second of it
