I like that basket GHT. I need to improve the load carrying capacity of my bike. I wasn't too fond of riding in a big city either.
The bike is an unrestored model by Philips, circa 1926. I bought it for my wife, but as the female version of a pushbike doesn't have a crossbar, it makes for a great ride when you need a hip replacement, no painful leg lifting, so I'm forever using it. The doctor has also told me that gentle cycling is good for the hip because I'm keeping the joint mobile without impact.

Out of the loop for so long I'm ashamed to show my face... but I'll risk it ;)

Surprised to see souvenir Barcelona hats with lettering on the brim at a newsstand. They actually look quite nice!

Fun? Bicycles? Raindrops keep falling on my head.

Back in London I wouldn't have given it a week before being involved in a collision, but here in the beautiful New Forest, I can, and do, ride to the supermarket, and the only accident that ever happens is if the wind blows my hat off.
Nice!

Willebe you look like an Akubra Sombrero man like the Bush Tucker Man , more than a Tilly guy . Still looks good though .
I'm working on it. The Tilley was a Father's Day present a few years ago. I have given my wife a couple of options for this FD, s o we'll just have to wait and see. I'll look at the Akubra Sombrero and maybe put it on the list.

Tough acts to follow, but here goes with my light sage VS... PERFECT for a drizzly day, or just in case.
Looks great Charlie! Does that light sage have earthy tones or is it kind of minty?

Beautiful and pristine Moon. Looks like it is about to walk away in that last shot!

Love these great hats you are churning out Justin. The color on this one is one of my favorites.

Off earlier today on lunchtime walkabout in this Cedar Brown CD. A gift from fellow Lounger @moontheloon.

Nice Akubra Jim, perfect.

Hey everyone!
Sun is back! After days and days of mostly to all cloudy and cold. This nice shady Pantropic Panama was made not too far from me in Sebastapol, CA.

Thanks Red. I wonder how old this Champ is? Do you know how old your Portis is?

Thanks Willebe. I try as much as possible to run all my errands from spring thru fall on the bicycle.

I like that basket GHT. I need to improve the load carrying capacity of my bike. I wasn't too fond of riding in a big city either.

Thanks Jeremy. No good idea who made the jacket. The lining has been replaced and all traces of labeling are gone. By the zipper it dates to the late 40s to early 50s and by style it might have been one of the California makers.

Thanks all,
Michael
My Portis seems to be mid fifties. I would think your champ figures in around then as well.
