Aw! You're very kind.
Not daily, thank god.
I usually do Antwerp-Bruges once a month to check up on the store. A little more in December.

This is a grey beaver with burgundy silk taffeta grosgrain. The same hat as pictured in my avatar.

We have made progress, my friend. My wife is impressed. Now I have her thinking about what crown height and ribbon treatments. I think I can make this happen.

Some shopping today in the Born quarters of Barcelona and as a reward I'm having an alcohol free beer (gotta drive) and some olives at the old food market! Have a good friday everyone!

Such a classy look! Do you encounter other hats of this caliber on other folks in your neck of the woods?

1910s Knox Extra Quality derby sold by Sole Agents The. Harvey in Tiffin, Ohio.

Still has the price tag. SUPER NEATO! View attachment 62775 View attachment 62776 View attachment 62777 View attachment 62778 View attachment 62779 View attachment 62780 View attachment 62781 View attachment 62782

I hope that you each have a SUPER NEATO Friday.
Neato indeed! I like the lines of this derby. It is interesting on just how different these stiff felts can be from each other. Who says a black bowler is boring!

Thanks Red.

Yeah... the subtle (and often not too subtle) differences from derby to derby are some of the many things that I love about them. I can understand why certain folks almost exclusively focus on collecting them. Just lovely hats with wonderful history...

I need more of them. And so do you.

Thanks Charlie. I try to keep fit by walking and positive thinking :)
How's your shoulder?
Can you do the usual movements?

Thanks Matt on the other side of the wall my grandfather worked as a farmer in his early years

I, too, have been a longtime walker, and always try to think, if possible. Although, I once pulled a muscle in my head doing so.
I need to "lay low" still for a while, Daniele.
And the quality of lids just keeps a'comin' in this thread!
Chilliness in the air..Anton Peschel time...

You have OUTDONE yourself again, Jack!! Wow, WOW, WOW!!!
