That is an incredible hat, mmbarnes. Reminds me of my Borsalino Renna I sold a long time ago. One of my all time favorite ill-fitting hats!

This and its brother a really beautiful teal Gamebird fell into my hands when the son of a late gentleman sold his hats last year. Both were too tight for my noggin. But I seem to gave gently and slowly coaxed this one to a pretty comfortable place. The Gamebird is still being nudged along very slowly.

If'n I recall correctly, this'n is circa 1930s into the early 1940s. The older I get, the more my memory fails me, and right now I'm just too uncaffeinated to go dig up the specifics.

It is a warmer than usual, 45'F, morning for a dog walk. A wool jacket, scarf and a vtg. Stetson Scoop kept me comfortable.

This smaller brim vintage felt has a unique brim and lovely ribbon appointments.

The Scoop has me thinking about "cub reporters" this morning.

Got dressed and decided to go with the Gannon "Rofolfo!" Not this shirt, though; went with a more dressy blue shirt with black and blue/grey stripes/boxes, some blue slacks and the Luchesse black ostrich skin boots.
