Miami and Jeff,

The Mink is a nice dark cocoa color, the felt is soft and pliable. It's still a regular fur felt, just the color is called mink Miami. It's one of the nicest modern hats I've handled (other than Art's creations.)

Miamibruno, that Marathon is fantastic!

Hatto can weigh in of course, but I was under the impression that "mink" was a trademarked color, not the material (unless you're Art Fawcett!). Beaver Brand used to offer that as a color, too.

Fantastic look, again, Alan.

Perry's right, Sam... the sand and the snow really work together. Super lid!

That new Mink Strat is a beautiful deep, rich looking color, Perry.

MAN!! What Marvelously Magnificent Marathon, Miami!! MMMmmmmmm.

T Jones, what's the hat in your shoveling shot? I really like it.
Thanks buddy. It's a Western hat with a "Sherwood Saddlery" logo on the liner and on the sweat. I can't find any info on it through a web search. It says on the sweat "Genuine fur felt", "Custom made"...My guess is that's it's a store logo where the hat was purchased. Other than that I don't know who the maker was. The felt is really dense and stubborn to work with. It's a real nice hat though.

TJones - just want you to know I bought a Resistol Stagecoach for a conversion. You are convincing.
Excellent! I think you're going to be real pleased with the results you get. The felt quality of the Resistol Stagecoach is substantial....beautiful Marathon btw.

Casechopper - Nice CRM and love that little bit of red in the ribbon.

Alan - Sooooo you. Perfect ensemble as usual.

Charlie - absolutely alliterative announcement of appreciation.

TJones - won't get to it till I find a decent rounding jack. Don't want to think what would happen if I used scissors.
