Cooled down a bit yesterday and some rain to help clear the dust. Cool enough to wear some felt again. Felt great! (that's awful I know).

Borsalino Palladio

It's not a hat that is made for rain, because it's as thin as a handkerchief, so the Garibaldi (probably made by Cervo) had to step in for the rainy bit.

Cool enough for felt this morning, but I was in the mood for the Melvin.

I think it feels like a good day to kick up the feet and relax.

Have a fine Sunday,

Dig the Melvin! Great shirt too. Enjoy your relaxing Sunday. Going out to wash the wife's car in the cool morning myself.

That Palladio is fine and feather light looking. Perfect cool weather hat. Great to have the Cervo in reserve. Both are fine looking hats.

Today, thanks to the heat, I want to joke, so supported by the soundtracks of Italian films shot in the 70s I staged the farce of the model with a felt hat on a very hot day ;)

Some time ago I bought a Borsalino Homburg, the color is "Mirtillo" thta is an appeal for me and my collection and belongs to that "strange" supply made by the "Casa di Alessandria" to Simon Zlateff in Sofia Bulgaria

The hat comes from the UK as many of its brothers. We will return to this topic, in the meantime I took some pictures before "cooking myself" on a sunny balcony

It ticks all the boxes: it's a Borsalino, it's a homburg (sorry Daniele: lobbia), it's blue and it has provenance. What more could you ask for?

Haven’t put this vintage Stetson on in 4 months or so. today in 70s bright sun I am tempted to wear it gardening but don’t want to take a chance getting it soiled.
Damn do I miss wearing this hat!

Hey Bond:
I’m assuming this hat is some of your work. Perfect crease, extra perfect ribbon and the brim stitch is a very cool touch. Great to see. Thanks

Good morning. I have been getting up before 5:30am to enjoy the cool morning. A vintage Stetson Playboy was my hat of choice.

Eric:
I think i need to just type up a default “Eric’s Epic Hats” response with a counter because i ran out of superlatives long ago!!
At the risk of being redundant...

I think my favorite Borsalino color is Mirtillo. This Lobbia is absolutely perfect. Great history.

Great hat to sit under a tree and enjoy the sunshine. Love that brim.

With weather on the "border" between felt and straw, I took a chance with my VS Milan for our walk this morning...
