It's just too hot for my liking here this week... we're running 94° F - 100° F this week. Ugh.

Wore the parabuntal ventilated straw to work today.

Catching up after being gone all day. We will see if the jumpy lounge will let me finish this. Everyone sure brought their A game today...

Marathon koffee klatch in the yard this morning.

Panama Bob monti this morning.
Nice Monti Bob. I really need to step up my straw game and get one.

Both hats by Esther.
Beers by a small local brewer and by Affligem.

Looks tasty, both the hats and the beer!

VS Panama - ideal for this hot summer.

OMG David! I'm really in lust with this one. And you just had to add gills to the mix. Be still my heart.

Dobbs “Jamaica”. Could stand to be reflanged.

I like it! Really a showy hat with that pug too. Looks like a superior weave.

DesertDog, not to usurp your post today but i thought how often can you see the same named hat by two different makers?
So today you can.
You’ll notice no pinch, no side dents and a crease, well barely!!
Cause this hat is the most disobedient felt.
It just wants to keep it’s own shape and not change. Kinda like me i guess.
That’s why i love it. Plus i think it’s plenty cool as is.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: hope you don’t mind DD
This is really a cool one Bowen. The shape of that brim really gets me going. The crown works well with it, nice.

I picked up this Palmoro palm straw at the thrift today and promptly took it out on the bike ride.

It seems to be a high quality piece of work and I see they are available new for $39. I would say that is very good value in a hat. Handmade in San Luis Potosi Mexico.

Stayed firmly attached to my head, even on the 25 mph downhill run.

Nice straw Michael. And it comes equipped with portholes. How nautical.

I just received this back from VS. It’s a D’Aquino that came with a cheap royal blue ribbon. I let Art decide what ribbon to replace it with and I’m not disappointed.

A vast improvement over that other wild ribbon color. Very classy looking now.

I tried the Hemp Strat today, it was a little too warm. This one has the ventilation I needed.

Thanks Red. It's a nice blue. And the portholes o the straw are actually big enough to provide a little ventilation. I think it is going to see a lot of wear for the rest of the summer since it is bicycle friendly. I couldn't get the photos to show the sort of dark honey color.

Thanks,
Michael

I really like this lighter color. My Hemp is "sand", what color is this one called? Workhorse straw.

Wegener "Seal" with side vents and mesh liner. The felt is very light weight with a Chamois like finish which Wegener called "Seal".
