Thick velour for an impressive hat. Color is "Morello" (black horse)

A rare shape and proportions hat for the Italian market. One of my favourite in the "imponent" section

Thanks for the kind words and likes on the "hairy" Charles Hatter in brown
Another beautiful hat Daniele

Thank you for each and every "like" and comment this week, folks!

Today offers a bit of distraction from the day-to-day grind with a genuine BLIZZARD here in the Northeast USA. So it's time for a Vintage Silhouettes Porkpie party as it keeps up coming down. The first two pictures are from inside, looking out. The second two are just outside the door. I'd say it makes snow today!!

Hey all!
The Jiffy serves as a forensic tool today, as a powerful blast of steam reveals that this Penn-Craft bowler was stored in mothballs at some point in it's long history. Phew! That might explain it's beautiful un-dined upon condition. At least it's not as bad as 80 year old tobacco smell.

The selfie cam on my tablet seems to be having a hard tine focusing as a (much needed) light rain begins to fall. Might have to rethink the outerwear.
Have a great day!

John you've got that 80 year old felt looking new. Fine hat
Sick since Saturday night. Ugh. Waiting on prescriptions at the pharmacy under a Knox Twenty.

I seem to remember something mentioned about those, can't recall exactly what was written. They may have been a later use of the name. Do you have pics of the logo?
I think the Penn Craft name was still held by Stetson and they licensed it to England. The model of this hat is a "Dale 63" which could be the year based on it's profile. Interesting puzzle. Maybe there is some knowledge floating around the Lounge on this one. Steve?

Logo looks a bit different.
Here's the sweat stamp on my Lords' Hat.

And the liner crest on the bowler.

If it is a 60's hat you have, it makes me wonder why they weren't made for the American market too.

I hope all you east coasters are faring OK.

I hope Charlie was able to help that guy with his horse.

I hope Matt had fun doing donuts with the top down in the snow.

I hope everybody has enough liquor and Spam to make it through.

After several days, I'm starting to get a bit acclimated to the single digits we're seeing.

Modern Stetson Stratoliner in Caribou. Excellent Quality.
