I've tried to select a bunch of posts for a multiquote response. For whatever reason, I keep screwing it up.

I give up.

Thanks to all for the kind words about the Garfinkel's homburg.

@1mach1 ... Crazy Borsalino. Bad ass jacket.

@Frunobulax ... Mr. Saturday is dead. LONG LIVE MR. SATURDAY. That hat is just killer. The crease... Well... THE CREASE!

@Redfokker ... That hat rocks.

@steur ... Dude... In that Lee, you follow no one.

@Hurricane Jack ... Fantastic hat. And that jacket... EXCELSIOR!

@Richard Morgan ... Beautiful Executive.

@Bamaboots ... Whenever I see that hat, words fail me. Today is no different.

@moehawk ... With as awesome as #9 looks, I can't wait to see what comes next. You are a talented man.

Enjoy, all.
Thanks mmb!

Nope. Never get tired of that one. But I gotta confess, I'd love to reach out and put a big ol' diamond crease in that crown.

Thanks, Jim and I understand. Anything one wants can be done to the crown and brim on this thing w/o steam. I know because I've done it. The issue is its been in the cattleman for so long, I think it would have to be pounced further to get rid of the shadowing. That, and the fact I'm sort of a cattleman crease fan. :p

Very appropriate apparel Jack. You will look aces & eights in that getup. (Or is that the deadman's hand? Ooops, sounded good when I thought of it.)

Special day with two hats, one to go to my studio and one to return.
The special occasion was suggested by a conversation we made with Steve during his stay in Verona in October. The topic was: "Everyday hats" that have been saved from the daily use of users with little money in their pockets and one or two hats to wear up to consumption.
Steve found medium and low-priced hats in the Central European markets before World War II and some later, quite new and some used, so we can see not only high end hats, but also the usual that is really interesting.
Today, putting my collection in place, I noticed these two Barbisio, which are from the historical production of Sagliano Micca's house in the 60s. Interesting is that they come from a small shop in a town a few miles from Ferrara, so not a town and they are for not so rich people.
They are very similar, almost identical and destinated to workers or men of low social class. The price was half of a Borsalino.

The morning hat is a Barbisio "Qualità Super" called "Semiruvido" due to the presence of wool mixed with fur that gives the surface of the felt a wrinkled appearance

The ribbon is the same color "Cufra" as the felt as well as the one that trim the brim

The midday hat is always a Barbisio without particular information on quality

The color of the felt is "Daino" and the ribbon color "Talpa", while the ribbon that trim the brim is the same color of the felt

This at the touch is slightly less wrinkled than the brown one. They are two hats of equal proportions and of the same price category

They arrived until these days new to be used only some days in a year
Thanks for the like and have a nice Saturday

This is a very interesting concept to contemplate Daniele. I have a couple of Derby hats that could have been worn by a banker, or a coal miner. These are both beautiful to this day.

The Slouch is protecting you well Rodolfo. Is this a open air flea market that you post pictures of often. I want to go and wander around!

Hey all!
Many thanks for the likes and kind words on my recent posts, and especially for my two newest projects.
Today, Earl (moe-riginal No. 9) gets another afternoon in the sun. Until the wind kicks up another MPH or two, that is, then it'll be a bowler day.

Have a great day!

Tell Earl that he is well loved by the denizens of his Lounge Kingdom. The royal, Earl of Moehawk Manor, and his noble, Sir John beside!

Every time you trot this Cav out, my heart skips a beat. It is absolutely incredible.

Still not sure about the feathers, but that brim curve sure gets me!
For now, the feathers will stay, kind of funky, for a funky statement. I should wear it around Funkytown with @Frunobulax

Two hat day today (actually three, but forgot ot take a shot of the third one). First one was the borsalino selentino.

After that it was time to follow in the footsteps of Matt (Barnes) with a homburg. The Lee in navy blue for its first outing (maybe in decades). Ribbon still needs a little steam.

Two beauties, right there.
