Tomorrow, (Friday 3rd,) I have an early appointment to see my surgeon about my forthcoming hip replacement. It's the final consultation prior to the operation. My surgeon is such a dapper fellow, if only I could get a photo of him. If the weather is as good tomorrow as it was today, I shall wear one of Esther's straws, matched to a blazer with a colourful bow tie. After I have had my surgery I intend to look for an ivory fedora, I always loved those fifties westerns where the baddies wore black hats and the goodies wore white!

Beautiful Homburg, Michael. Navy works for you!

Thanks Serge. This hat spends about half of it's time looking black and the other half blue. You are looking well styled under the D'Aquino today. And I would be impatient too if I had a Weis to pick up.

Super outfit Michael.
Thanks Perry. That is a great Mallory you have on today, and I could swear I have that same shirt. I need to look it up.

Thanks all,
Michael

Like Justin, I grabbed a Stetson 3X today. Unlike Justin, this 50s-era hat flies in the face of TAR Thursday with a nice wide ribbon and back bow.

I tried a patented Eric/Anthony "hat on a bush shot."

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

A thoughtful gift from my friend Garrett, who does not wear westerns.

Thanks Michael. It's from Territory Ahead catalogue if that helps. My wife gets stuff on specials from there.

It really is a beautiful hat, Perry. But subconsciously I always reach for a hat with a minimum of a 2-5/8" brim. I'm a big guy, 2-5/8, 2-3/4" out to 3-1/4" is my sweet spot. Subsequently this hat is one of a few I have that just don't get worn. Hopefully someone else will enjoy owning it.
Understand. If you ain't wearing it, make more room in your closet (or hat rack).:D
