Thanks so much for the birthday wishes and hat salutes. What could be better?! It is still very wet here too but without more troubles than a damp basement. Be careful out there cleaning up. Donna, who made me a surprise birthday party for my 20th, surprised me with a couple of vintage hat stands for my inverse double chai birthday today. I am a very lucky guy to have such wonderful people in my life. You guys included. My hats are off in appreciation.

It's really too warm for felt but I wanted to take Blue-riginal #4 out today! A navy blue Czech rabbit mullet-burg with a brown Schiff ribbon (sweat and liner C/O Bond). Sidenote: I really don't think my originals even qualify for the "homburg" category... They're more like kettle-curled, bound-edge dress fedoras. Until there's a name for that, I guess I'll keep calling them homburgs!

Looks absolutely great no matter what you settle on calling it. Super job.

well it was exactly a week ago that I got into hats! I recently ordered a rabbit felt fedora, and so whilst buying a shirt online i noticed a paper one of similar colouring for €5, so i thought why not, just to see how it looks. Well, after arrivibg squashed into a shirt box, after half an hour with a kettle, tea pot and iron it looked like this:
