What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Hey folks!
A very nice day here by the Pacific.
I love this old Parabuntal that I wore the other day, but what makes it so special is also it's main drawback. It is such a fine lightweight straw that the brim is very thin. Any breeze brisker than a butterfly burp gets the brim fluttering like my heart whenever Alan posts a pic of his Hawes Von Gal. So, rather than strengthing it by binding it or *gasp* wiring it, I went and did a little structural engineering on it instead. A bit of a 'burglike curl adds stiffness and an extra bonus of style.

Wind flutter almost gone. Heart flutter, never.

So, today while we were all doing other things, (8:00 AM, actually) my newest grandson, Noah, finally arrived. Like me, he was late at the start, but finally arrived!

Fantastic news... he may have been late but he beat me by a day. Cigars all around!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Whole Family Charlie !!! Wonderful Name , too !!! A new Lid to celebrate seems appropriate . Way to go Grandpa ! Looks like The LORD made the trees bloom just for his arrival . What a Blessing !!!

Thanks so much, Michael! I completely agree with you, my friend. I need more space than is allotted to one person in NYC. But now I have TWO living there... ARrrgh!! Other than his new hometown, though, I am more than proud to say his priorities ARE in order, and that I could learn some manners from HIM.

I opened the door to my hat room where somewhere around 120 hat boxes are stacked ... I asked my daughter to pick one... she pointed to a Cavanagh box
