Too much time at work, but that changes tomorrow. I'll be semi retired and will just be working part time! :) Lovin' the great looking lids and lovin' the coming of Fall, one of my favorite seasons of the year. Everyone's looking great this nice Sunday evening. Wearing one that I don't put on too often. Sometimes I like this hat, sometimes I don't. 3X Resistol with 41/2 inches of brim! I did a reblock and recrease on this one and added a 6 ply mid ribbon with just a keeper...

A couple of my reworked Resistols. 3X in Silverbelly and a Stagecoach in Chestnut...

Remembering way back to some of my favorite TV Westerns...

Today, a very special (and old) tiger on a pleasant Autumn day. Keith Bros. The Tiger Special.

Moe -- I'm so impressed with how you saved this hat. It looks great!

This Royal Stetson St. Regis came from the retail store on Chestnut Street. The sweatband is stamped Nov 15 1947.

Tonio -- Beauty! Congrats on a great find.

Too much time at work, but that changes tomorrow. I'll be semi retired and will just be working part time! :)

Terry -- I'm so jealous. Both on the (semi) retirement and the ability to do such nice conversions. Enjoy your additional free time. We expect more hat conversions now. :)

Shots reminded me of Denver City Park 330 acres), home of Denver Zoo. Thought those monkeys might be "offered" permanent homes.

Hi Everyone,
I have been waiting to post any photos until I lost about 40 lbs. and became better looking. After celebrating my 70th birthday last week, I finally admitted that is not going to happen. I have been following this thread for about a year and love the variety of hats posted and the wonderful civility of the people here. I hope to contribute a little.

Buddy! The secret to looking good is simple! CONFIDENCE. And with your style, how could you NOT be confident?!? Thank you for sharing! I look forward to many more =)

Looking good. Mind if I ask what method you were using to loose weight? Only reason I ask is I started a plan three weeks ago in an effort to be in better shape at 40 than I was at 30. PM me is you prefer.
Johnny

I lost 65 lbs doing P90X a few years ago and I've been on a workout and martial arts kick ever since. I know you didn't ask me, but in case you're wondering, my current routine is VERY inexpensive:

1. If you're looking to just get fit and feel confident, buy an Amazon Fire TV on your Amazon Prime account (~90 bucks).

2. Once the Fire TV arrives, plug it into your HD tv and install the Les Mills app. Then subscribe to Les Mills on demand for 20.00/mo. You get EVERYTHING -- abs, cardio, kick boxing, weights, stretching/yoga, and more... It's SO much cheaper than a gym membership and VERY convenient to do because all the workouts are tailored for your living room and only last about 30 minutes.

3. Eat right (this requires talking to your personal physician).

4. Start feeling confident. I think the most detrimental part of fitness for most people is the willful acceptance of the devil's lies: that you are inadequate and destined to be inadequate, so why even bother trying to be fit? Such a thought is hogwash.

Sorry if this became a crazy Pacific coast fitness rant -- I'm two gin martinis in, so my ability to keep my mouth shut has dissipated.

Great info.

Ahhh. Gin Martini. Is there any other? A martini made with vodka is NOT a martini. ;)
