Thanks for the advice, Perry. I do like the hat, and I definitely want to keep it. If I couldn't re-use the thin ribbon, I have a nice 1 1/2" silverbelly ribbon I purchased from bond a while back that would look great on it. I'll take your comment with strong consideration. Cheers!!

It is a Royal Stetson with no name markings of any kind anywhere on it. Maybe one of you can say what it is from something in the photos. Porter's Birmingham AL is the store stamp.

That's a beauty. I have a Royal Stetson, very similar to yours, with the same ribbon width and brim binding and no model name. Mine doesn't have that beautiful blue liner tip.

I didn't realize I was joining the choirs , but THAT IS NICE ! Looks like a Whippet , but Taller Crown and Wider Brim , maybe a New Yorker , or Stetsonian , but whatever , Its a Keeper !

I got home from the office and found my Sterkowski cap waiting for me on my front porch. It was a pleasant surprise as the hat was made to order with a 30 day lead time; so I wasn't expecting it until the first part of August. A week after placing the order, I received notification that it had shipped. Less than a week later, after traveling from Poland, it was on my front porch in Seattle.

I was a little nervous about how It'd look as it is my first 8 panel Gatsby style cap. I think it looks ok. :thumbs up:
