HatsRME the crease is a perfection!
Many interesting and lovely hats in this period of summer end's. Today in a faulty Italian summer (it was raining all the morning) I wear a felt hat

Tirard Gris melange with a huge ribbon (same color of the hat) and a not so common bow. I think from the 60.

On the sweatbrand there is a stamp "New Look" and the name of the hats shop where it did come. Chappellerie A. Meer - Strasbourg - France from which I bought a bunch of old-new lovely French hats

Greg - nice looking straw.

L.T. - you suit a homburg - great look.

Charlie - nice hat and a shirt to make me truly envious :)

Daniele - Very nice Tirard. I wore a hat from Meer today too - no idea where I heard about these French wonders... ;)

---

Yesterday - relaxed day at the office in a reshaped Akubra Squatter:

Not so relaxed day at work with a NOS grey vintage Flechet marked Meer Strasbourg :)

Joao, what is the brim width on the Big Country?
Full 5" brim.

Thanks Greg. I reshaped the Tirard late in the afternoon. It seems to me too much topper. With two little pinches it is more nice. Pictures will follow.
Richard I discover we have more or less the same hat
Mine is a Chapeau de France marine, very stingy in velour.
In the next weeks some photos.

Awesome hats today gents, in the true (rather than vernacular) sense of the word.

I can't get enough of my VS Dove featherweight.

Joao - I like that broad brimmed fedora.
Michael - that VS is beautiful.
Jeff - nice colour combination on the buckaroo.

Greg - thanks
Daniele - I know these late 60's/early 70's stingies aren't to everyone's taste but I really like them. I picked up the grey and black Flechet velours. I must go back and have another look soon.

g.d, that VS dove is a stunner. Great contrast with the ribbon! A featherweight is on my list.
Jeff, I like the brim style and bash on that Buckaroo. Is it rabbit or beaver? It looks like undyed beaver.

Agreed, that dove featherweight VS is really classy, G Durand.

Daniele, the Tirard is fantastic too! Nice color and ribbon.

Richard, here I was thinking that was a Fed-- the Squatter looks equally awesome. I think Akubra was made for you! The Flechet is really fine as well.

Joao, are you in there? ;)

Harv, excellent choice with the FP this morning! verrrry nice.

The Buckaroo Hatters is actually sahara bunny felt, but I believe Mike used an older, perhaps vintage body he had in the shop. Major, if you're "listening," can you add any insights on this? But that undyed beaver appearance is exactly what I was hoping for! One of my favorite hats.
