Been away from the net for the last few days while at a con. Thankfully, a steampunk forum is a great place for wearing hats. :)

A 40's swing dance was scheduled for Friday evening. A problem caused by the recent weather and a breakdown in communication among the staff caused a three-hour delay in the dance, but we looked good while we were there. The Churchill got a good bit of head time that day.

Saturday required a bit more formal attire. The black Beaver Brand bowler served me well.

Today was a bit more casual. Still dressed up, but not so formal. The brown Tress & Co. bowler received some nice compliments.

In all, it was a fun weekend and I got to wear lots of hats in addition to the ones in the pictures.

GearGuy - very nice looking Borso.

Lookin' sharp S-4-C. Glad you made it through round two last week.

Killer hats today everyone. Especially happy to see the beret in action!

Michael - the proportions of the RM Williams are identical to my Campdraft - brim width the same, and after popping both to open crown the crown height seems the same. The felt might be a tiny bit softer and lighter, but it's pretty minimal and could just be natural variation. I think they were sold pre-shaped and with a downward brim - mine was bought from a fellow lounger who'd re-shaped it.
