My (new to me) circa 1950s Bandera Open Road clone. It is hard to tell in the photo, but the ribbon is (or has faded to) a pink-tan color to contrast with the tan felt.

Today, though it's far too warm for my tastes, I've brought my 1960s-era Resistol Kitten Finish with a 2 1/8" brim. Dark brown, almost a mahogany color:

Liner, showing the "Byer-Rolnick" label:

And the store imprint on the sweatband. Anybody from Indiana remember this store?

It's fairly low-crowned, but very very comfortable to wear.

Awesome, Josh! Thanks for the images. Great looking ensemble!

Yeah Josh! Glad you're feeling better. Impressive silver spun Flechet!

Good to see ya back Josh, I was noticing your absence this week. Grand pictures of you and the Wedding, that long hair looks great with the Tux! Nice choice.

+1 to all the above. Lovely photos!

+ 2 on that!

Josh, Great photo set! Your silver Flechet Velour looks amazing! Super choice!

Thank you so much everyone for the wonderful words!! I had an absolute blast at the wedding and it was an absolute honor to be the best man at Larry's wedding. It was funny, when I walked into the building I took off my hat and put it in a safe place. People kept coming up to me the entire wedding asking me, "where's your hat?" They kept on saying they almost didn't recognize me without it. As I was leaving, I put it back on and went to give Larry's mother a hug goodbye. As I was approaching her, she looks at my hat and then to me and says, "Now, that's better." I guess I have reached that time in every hat wearer's life where everybody expects them to always be wearing a hat.

Thanks Manfred - I have more than I should, but not as many as I want! I'd post a number, but my wife might read the post.

Josh, thank you. I have to share these notes with my younger daughter, who absolutely cringed when she saw that I wore my Chumash bead necklace to parent-teacher conferences last night. :)

BTW, to those that might have interest, the beads in this string are ancient Channel Island bow drilled basalt and shell beads that were made by the Chumash Indians c. 800-1500. They were collected in southern California (when it was still legal to) and strung in the 1940s.

Great outfit! Nothing wrong with that necklace. I am always wearing bear claws, bear teeth, or mammoth ivory. I don't think I have ever seen a string of beads like yours. Totally Unique!
