What hat are you waiting for today?

It looks camel in that pic, but it's natural. Hand dyed 2" ribbon. I picked the one on the right.

Click on the picture to enlarge... and see if the brim treatment gives any clues.

I’m not sure what I’m seeing. Is it an underwelt? I can see a concentric circle just in from the brim edge, but I can’t see any stitching. Natural with blue ribbon makes me think of Phoenix.
I give up.

This was ordered, I believe, before that natural/blue combo came out of Phoenix...

Not a welted brim... no stitching... hmmmm, what could it be? It ships tomorrow.

That work bench sure looks familiar to me as does the hand dyed ribbon. And if it is indeed a BSHW then I also know what that edge is. But I won’t spoil the surprise.

I like this color combo, can't wait to see the finished hat. Stealing this idea BTW.

I thought that was an old one until I looked at the printing. Very nice. I'm going to have to get a rolled brim sometime. I have a Garfinckle homburg but the brim is way too short and my Dobbs Rancher looks more like a plantation hat, not a true rolled brim.

It’s the nicest SunBody extant. :)
Mike helped me out with some custom shaping and he installed a leather sweat. It loses some of its “dunk in the water trough” quality, but makes for more of a summer dress hat. I’ll do some more shaping when it arrives.
