No...he means the VVL right next to the word twenty ...in gold

I may well. Though the auction stated "size 7 1/2" the hat itself is not so marked & is a 7 to 7 1/8 at best! GGGrrrRRrR...though it is indeed very, very light

I too thought it could be the owner's initials. The thing that makes me think it is not the is the font is the in line with the word "twenty" and uses the same font.
Hmm...

It may have been a clever idea to match the font and put it next to the Twenty.
Maybe the twenty is after market also,the twenty does not look like it is lined up with the logo,even if vvl was part of the model type.
