New cap day! I got home shortly ago after picking my Cordova cap package up. I deliberately arranged to leave early this evening as I was eager to check out the new caps. My anticipation has been surpassed when opening the package. Tonight I am wearing the blue/white/cream/aqua green cap. Glorious fabric. The heavier weave and the multi-hued threads will allow this cap to travel amongst a varied color pallet.

The fit! For folks on the fence about picking up a custom caps from the threads many bespoke or custom "cappers," jump at the chance. Off the rack are not bad, but just do NOT compare. Do not wait an extra minute. The fit, the style, fabric choices and of luxurious "options" or artisan touches. Options abound! Do not loose a minute. Order today, you will not regret it one iota.

Thanks Jonathan Cordova! Love the caps.

New cap days rule! (Riding the top of the rainbow this evening.)

Nice looking caps Eric... the red, burgundy, and white fabric looks familiar ;) - have that made in 8/4.

Love the blue too. Haven't seen that yet from Jonathan on his fabrics album. New? or not shown?

Yes the red/burgundy and white fabric Jonathan has had for some time. Excellent fabric. I deliberately chose the French style cap to showcase the fabric.

Boy howdy I would love to see your 8/4 cap in the same fabric. I can not recall this evening seeing another cap in that fabric. Cool - congrats!

The blue Jonathan introduced it to me saying he has had it for a while. I started the order with the red and then jumped when I saw the blue for yet another cap. Similarily the plain topped cap was my choice to show the blue fabric. Something about these thicker, looser weaves really draws my attention.

Love the gingham cotton Eric. Recently bought some green/ecru gingham on Etsy for a future hat build.

Thanks sir. I too have been on the lookout for other gingham or similar light fabric for spring/summer caps. Green/ecru sounds lovely. I am on the hunt for some mint green or sage green.

I am anxious to see your future cap. Sounds intriguing.

Good to hear from you Scotty. Can not wait to see others contributions to this thread.

Best, Eric -

@Short Balding Guy Since I'm not technically wearing the cap today (much too warm for it), I shouldn't post it here. But here is a link to where I'm wearing it...

I've heard the style of wool weave is called "nail head" tweed at least somewhere on the interwebs. It basically seems to me to be one of main weaves for wool - this and a few others like herringbone, houndstooth, and check. I have something similar in blue as well from Monsivais that Damien calls Donegal wool. In terms of French style do you mean 8 dart? Or something else that Cordova has fashioned?

The cap shown is actually the first one I got from Monsivais. I returned it because it was the wrong size. The replacement actually looks a lot better to me. I'll have to take pics again at some point.

So the green gingham...

I'm not sure it's exactly gingham, but it surely looks nice to me. More like a darker green. I'm not going to have the cap made until next year, but wanted to snag the fabric beforehand. I'm not sure who I'll commission to make it either. Not even sure of the style either. Cordova or Simonds will do a fine job of it.

I actually have a few caps in the making... one from Cordova and one from Simonds...

Cordova in an 8 dart configuration - using a cotton wash cloth type fabric from Ikea... yeah Ikea...

...and Simonds - in a cotton indigo plaid canvas that he offers... 8 panel 1920s style...
