What Are the Most Popular Leather Jacket Brands on TFL?

I pared down my jackets, so out of this list, I only have one Vanson, two Cal's, and one Bates. I would have more of the latter if I could, they just seem very hard to find, especially the loud flat track styles.

Are some Men really that afraid of their Wives. I see these remarks from time to time. Makes me think some consider their Wives more like their Mommies and they enjoy it.

I have always been straight up with Joselyn about my collecting with no need to hide squat. She knows I go for these jackets because of the craftsmanship of these tailors. It doesn't hurt that the jackets look damn good too.

The same was true when I collected vintage Remington and Winchester pocket knives 20 years ago. One could see the craftsmanship of the tradesmen. When I sold the pocketknives I used the money to install heart pine floors in our cottage. The flooring came from a 1930's manufacturing plant that produced hand made wooden boats. Again craftsmanship and patina took precedence with an added historical touch.

She has her thing and I have mine pure and simple.

One hell of guy for sure. He needs more though, a different jacket for each day of the year and 1 vest to complete the set

Ha, yep. He needs to get to the point where he can wear the jacket once, set it on fire, and still have enough jackets for the next 20 or so years.

Somewhat, I really don't know how many jackets I own. I have sold 153 including one tonight. One of the few jackets I didn't advertise here. Fellow from youtube contacted me and made a good offer. So I have one less.

I am only a refuge for Vintage jackets. Some stay longer than others, some fit, some don't. I'm always looking for new owners. Just found one today. All of my buyers of recent have been most satisfied. I like that. Have to keep things flowing.

I probably have 125 jackets in the house. I can count 30 just sitting here. I'm just storing them.

I have bought and sold about 18 jackets since i stumbled on TFL 3 years ago (led here by a google image of @handymike). Most of the brands mentioned have passed through. However, I don’t subscribe to the more is more theory. There are several jackets out there that I really like but owning them and looking at them sitting in the closet not only doesn’t bring joy but actually a tinge of sadness. The wearing season here feels short. My work commute is 15 minutes and I wear a uniform once there. I’m trying to live the one in one out lifestyle. Currently 1 RMC J24, 1 Eastman RW a2, 1. vintage Vanson cafe. I think that covers my needs. I may grab a 5* sheepskin for the winter.
