I have one week to mull over this Western beauty. Most likely will keep it stock as in the way it is (Cattleman crease, brim up from time to time) as I have the other OR in Grey already that I will keep with just a regular pinch/teardrop/diamond bash from time to time.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

One of the defining characteristics of the Open Road is a thinly bound brim. No such thing as a raw edge Open Road. Still a great hat thought.

If you like how you look under it, I’d suggest you keep the cattleman crease.

Yes sir the cattleman crease I can rock with as I like different takes on different hats.:D
Having an OR on the other side is cool as well......after all they are both Stetsons and I did think about having it an open crown to decide later on which bash to take on, but I'll stick with the cattleman.

Cheers!

My Beaver brand long hair. The White Buffalo, from Bowen. I am liking this grizzly a lot! It will be going with me to NFR, in Vegas, this December!

Bowen is a generous soul and a purveyor of fine hats. Looks great, Dd. Like what you've done with it and that will be a fine hat for the NFR. Probably won't be three people there that know what a special hat that is.

Not a fan of Vegas but the finals would get me back there. Helluva show.

Thanks Bama! I'm not a fan of Vegas either! But for NFR, I will bear with it. I do know where to get a good burger and beer!Going to a PRCA rodeo this Saturday. Be interesting to see if any finalists are there.

Good burger and beer is worth the trip. Probably a finalist or two and several needing to make the money points to get there. Caught one out of WA a week ago on the tube and there were several leaders there but a bunch needing a few more dollars to make that final what, 12 or 15 spots?

15 spots at NFR, the local Rodeos
have been disappointing. Hopefully this weekend will be better.

Local rodeos used to be fun. Not a PRCA event within 200mi from here anymore. Loretta Lynn used to have a rodeo company that would come around here every year but that is gone. It was IPRA anyway, so it was never really top notch but they knew how to put on a show.

Hope this weekend is good.
