Does anyone else here wear their brim in the "shovel" shape. I have a straw hat with a shovel front. It has really grown on me. I am consider reshaping one of two felts into a shovel front.
By shovel I do not mean the bull rider long squared off brim.
I just wanted to see if I was alone in this boat.

(I will add photo(s) later. I just checked what I had photo-wise and I do not have a current image of the straw I made into a shovel front.)

Had the opportunity this morning to make a dash over to Texas Hatters in Lockhart Texas to get my new Resistol finished out to my liking. Sorry. Can't really see new horsehair hat band. They put a nice curl on the brim for me! I like it!!!

Thanks compadre! Least I can wear it in the truck now. Height wasn't issue. Brim hit that dang head rest you can't remove anymore (without assistance of hacksaw or bolt cutters)..

Much obliged gents! For all your kind words.

SWD,
Instead of the pictures, I'd rather be in the mountains! :D
I was in a couple of flicks. I didnt really care much for that venture. ;)

Put this stuff on ANY critter on earth and you can eat it. Young and tender - throw it on the grill, old and ornery - stuff it in the crock pot.

To keep things on track, here's a couple of my western hats.

Never tried bear meat... nor moose meat... those are not common in Europe.

Anyway my "new" hat arrived. This black Tom Mix. Now I have one I can wear on all weather and keep the other one cleaned and in better shape.
