This is a 1952 contract made by Werber Leather Clothing, of A-2 jacket fame, and it's the only G-1 contract issued to that company, and the last government contract they're known to have had. It's also the only G-1 to feature a Canadian-made Talon zipper, which runs beautifully (much quieter than any of its American counterparts). I bought this from Vic a couple years ago, but it's time to thin the herd. I've already got one Korean War-era G-1 that I wear a lot, so I thought I'd put this up for sale. The leather and mouton are in good shape, and there's no cracking or signs that the leather will give out any time soon. The knits have some moth nibbles, but they're stable and you can wear the jacket without fear.
