Snagged this one -

- over at OFAS. It's a Pilgrim Crestylyn, open crown. I probably paid too much, but I really, REALLY dig the color.

Any info on this brand and period would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and keep an eye on the Classifieds section in the next couple of days - gotta pay for this sucker somehow!

I was eying that one for a while, wishing that it would you know..shrink down a bit... I also am quite fond of that shade of blue.

Lucky for you I would be wearing it around my ears if I actually bought it.

Congratulations! I was watching that one as well, and it's even my size. I don't think the price was out of line, considering it looks as if it may never have been worn. I really like the color too, and I was seriously considering bidding but I saw the bids coming in near the end and watched the price going up and decided against it. I'm glad it went to a good home, and I'm looking forward to seeing a full report when you get it.

Pilgrim was Sears Roebuck's "house" brand hat label (like Marathon was JC Penney's), probably made by Lee or another large vendor. As to age, give us some liner and sweat pix and we can try and help you pin it down. Nice hat.
