Weird jacket.

I've never heard of this brand, "Talking About The Abstraction" before.

It has a zipper running vertically down the back? Wtf? What can the purpose be? Is it the intent that you can mix and match halves? But it doesn't look like it can completely separate at the collar.

I've never seen anything like this before.

Dude, this is even weirder than i thought!
The zipper is actually just there to show the fur backing...

You can see that on the inside it has fur facing outwards towards the back:

And you can see that when you open the rear zipper you just expose the fur:

This is so weird, what sick mind thought that was a good idea?

Yeah, it is really weird! I don't think in a good way. Just bizarre. From the front it looks like a relatively normal CR type jacket, and from the back it's like "WTF?" I'm curious what they were thinking, but maybe I should have posted this to the "Just when you thought you'd seen it all" thread...

Ok, that is, well, just - wrong.

Not sure how else to describe it. Probably a "fashion specialist’s" dream - gone a bit off the rails.

No idea what the practical use of that would be, however it would be a fun way to drive you co-worker crazy by un-zipping the back zipper of thier jacket when not expected, causing a draft up the back and the fur lining to be shown... :)

Could be that the rear zipper is for ventilation while riding? Get too warm, and unzip at the next stop. Would be most difficult to unzip while riding. Don't know; that is just my best guess.

I don't think it's intended as a riding jacket at all. A vent that large would negate any practical value the jacket would have as a piece of protective gear when open. I was looking at the Talking About The Abstraction website and deduced that they're a fashion brand, just one I'd never heard of before. So they're not making motorcycle jackets for riders.

I guess maybe it might make it wider round the middle for those of us who are less athletic round the middle...

This makes no sense. I love how ridiculous it is

Yes! I'd never wear it, but I love that somebody came up with it!

This is like one of those jackets they discuss over on styleforum

Weirdly, I rather like that.... certainly look way, way better than those awful attempts at a Perfecto style which stop a few inches below the hips and makes people look like little kids wearing dad's jacket...
