WANTED: Full Length Peach Slip

Wanted to buy, a ladies full length peach coloured slip. I'm looking for a 1930s or at the latest 1940s slip with small straps in a 36" bust - or possibly 34" bust if it is cut on the bias - that is AT LEAST 56" long or longer.

This is to wear under a very sheer dress, so needs to be thick enough material not to see through and show underwear.

I've tried all the usual auction sites, so if you can help, please PM me.

Thanks!

I would suggest looking for one in white and dying it yourself!

I did think of that, but still having trouble finding one. Thought I'd try for a peach one first....

I need this for an event at the beginning of August, so I really need it by mid July. I have been looking since February and no luck yet, so if you guys can keep your eyes peeled for me, it would be great!

Thanks for all the replies so far.

most of the bias-cut vintage slips and nightgowns I've seen go for a lot of money. I mean, how much are you willing to spend? It might make more sense to make one.

Yes, it probably would! I just have lots of other things to make between now and then and have limited access to buying good fabric. I would want to see the fabric in person to gauge it's weight etc.

I guess I'm looking to pay about £30, but for the right thing, maybe a bit more. You're right that they do often go expensive, sadly. :(

May not be opaque enough, may not be quite the right length, but they give the side measurement, not the total length, may be too expensive, but it sure is lovely! http://www.vintageslips.com/2052gowns.html

Is the measurement you're giving a total shoulder to hem one?

This one has wide straps, but is a steal at $51 - http://www.vintageslips.com/2047gowns.html

In any case, you might need to search for "gowns" rather than slips.
