Anyone know of folks (apart from Iron Heart) who make these kinds of jeans? Somewhere in the UK would be nice.

I know Pike Brothers do, they have some retailers who sell in the UK.

A pair here. I've bought from that store a couple of times and the sellers always been helpfull when I've asked them anything.

SJC in London will soon be making pants in Vaugan. Similar, but in grey/black.

Simon also did a run of Wabash a couple of years ago with a sort of pinstripe (dots, which on closer inspection were hearts) - some good pictures on Google. He's talking about doing another denim run, including a more simple pinstripe style over the next year or two; worth dropping him a line www.simonjamescathcart.com

In terms of stuff currently available, the stores mentioned above will get the Japanese stuff in (though it won't be cheap!). The Pike stuff I've handled is fantastic quality if the cut of the jeans works for you - too low waisted and narrow legged for my tastes, which is a shame.

If you're looking for a UK based supplier, I'd get in touch with Dawson Denim. They've just got some Wabash fabric back in stock, and I'm sure that they'd make you a pair of jeans out of it if you asked. The company is basically Scott and Kelly, and they have done custom work for people before.

This black sack jacket was a one-off they featured on their Facebook page a few days ago.

The Flat Head do a pair of wabash painter pants. Rivet and Hide could probably get a pair in for you. I found a pair by Momotaro at Denimio, Son of a Stag might be able to source them. The Real McCoys / Toy McCoys do them too, and Superdenim could possibly order them up.

Iron Heart would probably be the easiest option. They've got a heavyweight 21 oz wabash coming soon too.

I searched for "striped jeans" on eBay about a year ago and found a nice pair for $40. Not even sure of the brand (nothing special), but they look and fit great. I won't wear them as much as plain denim, so I don't need bulletproof.

Yup, I don't desperately want to shell out on jeans. It's odd- whereas I think bashed up leather is great, knackered denim I reckon looks like it needs replacing...

My top 3 suggestions for quality striped pants are Freewheelers, Stevenson Overall Co, and Mister Freedom. I own pants from all three of these makers and they are incredible, with Freewheelers and Stevenson being extremely detailed.

Freewheelers makes some truly incredible interpretations of pinstripe/wabash/striped jeans.

That is just one link, but they make many more pairs and sell on many other sites. Let me know if you want more links. I have purchased way too many Freeewheelers items and have many links to provide.

Stevenson Overall Co. makes the Gambler

Mister Freedom also makes some that you can find on his website.

There are several pairs available here.

There is a company in Japan called Time Worn Clothing that makes some beautiful pinstripe pants that I saw while in Tokyo.

Indigofera makes the Swearengen pant (yes, it is named after the amazing show Deadwood)

I would suggest that you read this link over on denimbro. This forum knows more about this type of fabric than any other internet group.

These are my personal FW wabash/grain stripe pants. They have some insane stitching details as well. Of course, they also make a more simple wabash pant as well.

Wabash jeans are the thing I most urgently need for this autumn/winter

I'd like some high waisted wide legged ones, in a 30s cut ideally, but 40s or 50s could work too. Best case scenario for me would be for SJC to bring out wabash brakemans (i love that cut) but failing this outcome are there any suggestions for where else I might find such a pair? TIA fellas

@Graemsay I think you're the man in the know here. What are you saying? Cos one way or another I'm buying something, and soon!

My problem with most japanese repros is the low rise of their trousers. They get everything right but that important detail ruins everything for me.

Belafonte seems to be doing better in that regard.

Gustin had some Japanese ones recently with the tiny white hearts. You could put in a "Notify Me" on their site for when they come up again.
