:) After searching the 'bay for an old fedora to keep my noggin covered whilst raking leaves or cleaning out the garage for over two weeks now, I've come up high and dry.
Seems like all that's been up for bids lately are either nice old hats truly worthy of restoring, or those junk wool hats.

So; I figured I'd ask around here, perhaps one of you gentlemen has an old beater sittin around gathering dust.

I'm looking for a moth eaten old hat. Heck even a hole or two won't matter, in 7 3/8 and almost any color. (I had to throw in the "almost" 'cause I'm getting too old get in a fight over my hat).

Thanks!:D

Too bad about your big head. ;) Otherwise you could have had your choice of the two I got at Buchanan's the other week. Sadly, they're a 7 and 7 1/8.
Maybe if you get a really close haircut?.....

Big brim or will a stingy do? And how much are you willing to spend?

Not a big fan of stingy brims,......I like to keep the old schnazola and ears in the shade while working!

How much will I spend? Heck, as usual; too much!

Ephraim Tutt, you guys crack me up!!!

Does it have to be fur felt? If not, I'm a 7 1/2 and I've got a Burlington Coat Factory wool felt beater that's unlikely to see any time on my noggin. It's brown with a black ribbon, rebashed to a teardrop, with a cloth sweatband. You interested?

Thanks Spats, I'll wait to find an old beat up fur.

I'll keep checking out the 'bay,.....something's bound to come up.

Seems like everytime I win an old 7 3/8 fur beater auction and get it in my hands, I've got to send it to Optimo,....I can't stand to see a halfway decent hat not get fixed. If I can find something with a cut or holes in it, maybe I won't be tempted to spend another hundred bucks on it! :D
