I saw that one that went for $51. That was crazy. But if I remember it started at something like a $5 starting bid. Heck I've bought Strato hats for less than someone paid for that pin!

Yeah - But I just bought one off eBay for $12.49. It was listed as "Vintage TWA DC-3 Airplane Pin" with no reference to Stratoliner.

You've just got to be open to alternatives and not pay a ridiculous premium for only the name. IMHO.

To be honest, I thought I was a little bit nuts for paying even that much, but you know how it is when you just want that finishing touch ...
