Vintage versus Modern Physics

i've mentioned this topic in the Life on Mars thread, and i've looked around to find a nice, recent summary of the topic, since i doubt i could explain these things very well. the best i could do was this article from Discover magazine:

my question, for those who consider such things, is: do you lean toward Dark Matter or Modified Newtonian Dynamics? why?

a conflicted valence against established and accepted theory
resolved through modified equation capable of proof seems logical.

doesn't it? while the Dark Matter side of things is quite lovely, the failure to detect anything to prove it is a bit dubious. but then, the whole neutrino issue was equally dubious...
