Vintage Stetson 7 3/8-1/2 W/Box !!!

Very nice vintage Stetson Royal DeLuxe in size 7 3/8 ( measures 8 x 6 5/8)
Raw edge brim is 2 5/8(brim binding removed faint stitch marks)
Lot of room in this crown to accommodate a 7 1/2 perhaps. Crown is straight and tall.
Deep V crown gives this a classic fedora look.
Ribbon is 1 3/4. Felt is excellent and is more of a dress weight takes any bash well and has a nice hand to it.Liner is clean. Sweatband is pliable but with some minor checking on edge inside.
***This was a homburg I converted.
Asking 179. Box included has insert, in excellent condition.

Bump. I just found a vintage steel grey ribbon to do a brim binding on this one I think it will look pretty sharp. Stay tuned if interested

I ll add brim binding and post pics when it's done. As far as the crown ribbon ill let the next owner change that if they choose to. As it is now its tight and clean and I think it handles the proportions well at 1 3/4".

It's a medium charcoal grey but it seems to have a bluish tone also.

Geez Bond, I did not know you had the skills of placing a edge ribbon on a hat! Had I known that I may have elected to send you a hat or two for that to be done (for a price of course)! I have always wanted to know how to do one, but have been afraid what I would do, could only end in a puckered up result! Do you have to use a machine, or the time consuming "by hand sew"? I have asked one of the better tailors in my area to do edge ribbon on one of my hats, they said NO way!

Dan, it's done by a skilled sewer ( not me) using a machine , my friends at the Brass Rooster hat shop have all of the equipment to do it, and fortunately I live close by.
