We used to have a corner store here on the east side of town that, when I was a kid in the 60s, had a small black bear tied to a doghouse in the parking lot.I wish they had a place where I could lock a victim in a room with a boxing chimp. I have a whole list of candidates.
We used to have one of those cheesy roadside zoos up here, where they had a couple of goats, a seal, and a chimp. The chimp sat in his cage and glared murderously at every passing human. Even as a little kid I knew there was something morally debased about the situation, and I've often wondered what became of that chimp.
Me too. I had a Jiminy Cricket and some dinosaurs I got while on vacation out west.As a kid, I always loved to get those injection molded wax animal figure souvenirs for 50 cents; I had quite a collection, at one time...alas, they are long gone now.
Probably worth a ton of money to a collector nowadays, lol.

A&W is hard to find in the US, but it's a major player in fast food in Canada. And they have, hands down, the best of all fast-food-joint poutines. A bowl of A&W poutine and a frosty mug of root beer just before you hit Montreal was always a highlight of my Quebec road trips.
