It's heading to Japan the land of high priced vintage.:D Expect 300 dollar copies to be made.

This makes no sense to me. Why would you pay $660 for a NOS shirt you're only going to use for a pattern? Why not buy a trashed one?

I think they just need prestige stuff for their showrooms or a private collection? Even if the prices are insane they really make the best of it. Most of the good books and mags on vintage workwear are japanese. Just recently the collectors from UK and US started to publish similar stuff. (Vintage showroom, Schiffer Books etc)

If I had the money I would buy even the expensive vintage caps for my work and use them as tax write-offs. I probably wouldn't take them apart for a pattern, but to study and copy the dimensions.
