Vintage N 2B hood zipper replacement

Looking to replace the hood zipper on my 1960's N 2B jacket.
Brass zipper, made by Conmar.
Wondering;
1) where can I purchase a replacement and
2) do I need to buy the exact length zipper, or is ito possible to shorten a zipper?

Just get the correct gauge and tape colour. A zipper can (and most are meant to) be shortened. Two zipper stoppers are just crimped to the end of the track and the rest is clipped off and folded under/stitched. Check Ebay or ask Aero if they would sell you a vintage Conmar. They have a huge stock and should be able to offer you a replacement. Give Will a call...

See if MASH has the proper zipper. BTW, Jan is right. Zippers can easily be shortened. Here's the link to MASH:
