Vintage Gray Dobbs 7 1/8

Vintage gray Dobbs with a 1 3/4 black grosgrain ribbon, 2 1/2" overwelt brim and 5" crown. Someone got good use out of this hat but it still has a lot of miles left on it. The only issues are a small puncture hole in the back of the brim you can't see through which is marked by a light colored spot. The ribbon bow also needs stitched back down in one spot but the bow is still firmly attached to the hat. Other than that the hat is in good shape showing normal wear and tear. The leather sweatband is showing its age with some hairline cracks but it is still fairly pliable and the stitching intact. There are no moth holes, odors or stains. I am asking $80.00 shipped.

I saw this exact same hat on ebay about 2 or 3 weeks ago... same hole in the brim and all...

Yes, but it's a bit too small for me so I decided to sell it rather than not wear it and keep it stored away. I really like it though and the hole isn't an issue because you don't really notice it that much. It would be interesting to know how it came by that puncture. I've seen holes in hats before but they were usually made by moths or some chemical or other substance had eaten a hole in the felt but never a puncture. Fortunately it is on the back of the brim where you don't really notice it and you can't see through it. It just looks like a light colored spot as the photos show.
