Not sure if this is in the right forum/place? anyway I got this Phillips & Piper 'Lambourne' jacket from a local charity shop, not sure of it's age though I do know that Phillips & Piper ceased to be in 1981.
It's nice and heavy and very well made if a tad tight( I could do with losing about 1/4 of a stone if I am completely honest!)
It has two external flapped pockets and one breast pocket, a button hole in left lapel and two internal pocket and a single rear vent.

Here's afew more pictures including labels, interesting also for me is the 'Marples of Chesterfield' I certainly do not remember them in my home town, and I can remember back at least from 1976 onwards;

I love cord. The narrow lapels suggest it's either early 60's or 1980. The labels look more recent so I'm thinking it was one of the last coats they made - 1980-81. I had a few of these back then.

What an absolute corker Estaban! I love it, and what a bargain.

If you don't lose that 1/4 stone I'll take it off your hands...seriously.

I wore it yesterday to an invite only jewellerey do at Chatsworth house with jeans, brown Oxford shoes and a brown,mixed colour long sleeved shirt and it looked great I am told, I rarely fasten my jackets so it was fine...the weight is definately coming off as I have been ill for much of this year and unable to do my normal fitness regime but now it's pretty much sorted.
It could also do with about 3/4" of the sleeves other than that it's a perfect fit, the inside left pocket is quite small but perfect for the car 'plipper'.
I may get it copied bespoke by my recently found tailor depending on price, if it fit 100% there's no way it would be going anywhere but glad you like it.

I spoke to my mother and she cannot remember Marples in Chesterfield so shes asking the font of all knowledge today (my great aunt)

Bugger, I was hoping it was an appalling fit and you'd have to sell it to me ;)

Really lovely jacket, well done.
